About

A small, quiet company, quietly built.

Mythrae is a small, quiet company making audio and ritual for sleep, closeness, and the end of the day. We are small on purpose.

Mythrae began with a simple, slightly painful observation: that two people can love each other and still drift apart — quietly, over years, without anyone ever deciding to.

Why we started

Between us we’d had a long relationship — ten years — that simply fizzled out. Looking back, with the clarity hindsight gives you, we could see the small things that might have helped: the attention we stopped paying, the conversations we kept meaning to have. At its best, a relationship is two people growing without growing apart. But more often than anyone admits, you just grow apart.

Mythrae is our answer to that. We want to help people grow and stay intertwined — to keep choosing each other, and themselves, at the end of the day. We’re also a little differently wired ourselves, so we know first-hand that closeness sometimes takes a bit of work, and that the right words don’t always arrive on their own. A good deal of what we build is simply there to do some of that asking for you.

Who we are

Two founders with complementary obsessions. One is a research scientist — a doctorate (PhD) and fellowship in bioengineering and the life sciences, and years spent inside academia — which is why everything here is held to the evidence, and why The Lab shows its working rather than asking you to take our word for it. The other comes from technical operations in pharmaceutical manufacturing, where quiet precision, quality and consistency are the entire job — which is why a Mythrae piece is built like something that has to be right, not merely something that looks the part.

We are small on purpose. We build slowly, we disclose what we know and what we don’t, and we work with advisors where their expertise belongs. We are not therapists, and we are not a medical service. We make quiet things, and we take that work seriously.
